I don’t know what on earth this is, but anything with the headline “Nude Britney Spears on Bearskin Rug” can’t be good. Thanks Cheryl for causing me to yak.

Well That Sucked
If you’re wondering where I’ve been the last several days, I’ve been sick as a dog. Between my lingering cold that never went a way, and a stomach bug that was kicking my butt yesterday, it’s been a crummy week. I basically was in bed all day while my chances of finishing well in the tournament pick ’em went down the toilet (none of my final four teams made it). Just the same, I’m feeling better, and trying to catch up on the boatload of work I’ve missed the last few days.
As for the tournament pick ’em, at least according to the comments on this entry, it comes down to LSU vs. UCLA next weekend for the final point total (as a lot of people picked one of those two teams to make the final four). It doesn’t look like that as of right now, Yahoo has filled out some of the brackets quite yet, but here are the point totals as of this morning:
1 Josh Ausborne’s Picks: 71
2 severe anxiety attack: 70
3 Hoffmann: 68
4 homersolo BHSSN: 65
4 Hoosier Daddy: 65
6 Chris’ For Utterly Boring: 57
7 Jen’s Picks: 56
8 Lazykosse: 55
9 Let It Rain: 53
10 TTU Golden Eagles: 52
11 Crunk Time: 51
11 Jake’s No Strategy Picks: 51
13 monkeyinabox.net: 49
14 incontrovertible evidence: 46
15 LukaPuka: 44
16 Jo-Anne: 41
17 Ty’s Tops: 37
18 Shannon: 25
Those of you at the top, start shopping for your shirt.
Dell Buys Alienware
Alienware, a computer maker who was one of the first folks who catered to the hardcore gamers and performance freaks and is now starting to spread to the business market, is getting bought by Dell, who is entrenched in the business market and are one of the last folks to build hard core gaming systems (though latest Quad SLI config is both companies offer a Quad SLI configuration now, though I’d probably take Alienware’s as I’m sure Dell uses proprietary parts on theirs and Alienware’s setup uses AMD processors, which perform better for the most part).

Why I generally don’t read LiveJournal Blogs
I think the headline on this post I just saw on BendBlogs pretty much explains it: “I love ninjas with all of my body, including my pee-pee.” Whoa….
(And yes, it appears that person is no longer living in Bend, but has in the past. I’ll leave it up there for a bit longer, but will probably pull it at some point).
Something To Kill The Rest Of Your Day
A stupid little addicting flash animation which I’ve mirrored here in case the site goes down.
And if you’re wondering, yes, I still am sick, I’m just trying to clear out my inbox a bit. I’m not coughing like I was yesterday, but my head is still full of snot.
Anyway, thanks Cheryl for the link.

How Is This Possible?
Our government can’t afford to give all of it’s FBI agents e-mail?
NEW YORK (AP) — Budget constraints are forcing some FBI agents to operate without e-mail accounts, according to the agency’s top official in New York.
“As ridiculous as this might sound, we have real money issues right now, and the government is reluctant to give all agents and analysts dot-gov accounts,” Mark Mershon said when asked about the gap at a New York Daily News editorial board meeting.
Now I understand that their e-mail system is a bit more complicated than your every day setup like I have on this server, but that seems a bit ridiculous to me.
Triumph the Insult Dog Gives The Hawaii Weather Report
Apparently this video has been around a while, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it….
Jake Isn’t Here Right Now
<machine voice>Hi. You’ve reached utterlyboring.com. The site’s editor is currently unavailable to take your call. He was a moron and went to work today, despite being up most of last night coughing and drinking Nyquil. He should’ve listened to his wife and played hooky. Instead, his head is now full of snot, he’s still coughing and sneezing, and doped up on Dayquil. So despite having an inbox full of great links and some funny videos to share, he plans on going home here shortly and going to sleep.

So I’m still within shooting distance, though I did lose some folks today.
As for me, not much blogging tomorrow, as I have one more band concert (today’s was great!) plus a full day of work tomorrow since I took today off because of the afternoon concert. That, and I’m nursing a cold, so I’m trying to just do the bare minimum so I can actually play tomorrow.
