If you’re wondering where I’ve been the last several days, I’ve been sick as a dog. Between my lingering cold that never went a way, and a stomach bug that was kicking my butt yesterday, it’s been a crummy week. I basically was in bed all day while my chances of finishing well in the tournament pick ’em went down the toilet (none of my final four teams made it). Just the same, I’m feeling better, and trying to catch up on the boatload of work I’ve missed the last few days.
As for the tournament pick ’em, at least according to the comments on this entry, it comes down to LSU vs. UCLA next weekend for the final point total (as a lot of people picked one of those two teams to make the final four). It doesn’t look like that as of right now, Yahoo has filled out some of the brackets quite yet, but here are the point totals as of this morning:
1 Josh Ausborne’s Picks: 71
2 severe anxiety attack: 70
3 Hoffmann: 68

Wow! Such a close race on the top.
are you ever NOT SICK?
It wouldn’t seem like it, does it Emzen.
Jake, I’ve been worried about you. I am glad you’re doing better. And it is sort of scary to think that the bug I had last month, is now half-way across the country in Oregon. Talk about contagious!!! Yeah, stomach flu is part of it. It’s not something you ate… 🙁
So there is no prize for 4th place, then? What a disappointment, especially after all the hard effort and hours of research I put into my picks.
Well, I used to think that I would be content with just beating Jake. Now, though, I REALLY want UCLA to lose to LSU so I can claim victory in each of the two Yahoo! groups I’m in. Not bad for having only watched one basketball game (it was two teams who didn’t even make the NCAA tourney) this year!
I am the Champion, no time for losers, etc. etc.
So, all praise me and so forth, and now that I no longer live in Bend, I can have a Bend t-shirt to show I did.
It’s official, I didn’t win. At least I beat Jake, though.
