How Do People Find UtterlyBoring.com?

Apparently some folks at a radio station in Portland (who will remain nameless, as I didn’t ask for permission) were bored (which seems to bring a bunch of traffic here) and searched for “bastard gas prices suck“, which has an old post on my site listed as the third result.

It was from 2003 and I was complaining about our $1.94 prices. My have times changed.

I just paid $3.02 this afternoon. When I tell my kids I paid less than a $1 a gallon in high school, they don’t believe me. I guess it’s like the ‘walking to school backwards and barefoot in the snow uphill for 10 miles’ stories for their generation.

Dane says:

Oh man, $3.02? We’re still at the bargain price of $2.85 here in Minnesota. Guess I should stock up before my grand exodus back to the Northwest.

Jo-Anne says:

As of right now,the lowest is $111.6 per litre….doing the math per gallon
ughhhhh! May the nice weather and cheap walking shoes be in our days ahead of us!

Dan says:

When I started my current job (outside of Boston) 6 years ago, the local cheapie gas station was $0.79 a gallon. It is now $3.10.
I can’t quite remember how I came to this site; been reading for about 2 years.

Yeah, so like the Jo-ann person, I gogled boring, looking for amusing sites to while away my time, and avoid doing my class work. Lo and behold, I came upon this site, and now it is one of my favorite distractions.
