3.6 Million Nickels Missing

Granted, that many nickels is worth $180,000, but how the heck is the guy who stole it going to spend all that change? I think it might raise somebody’s suspicions if you showed up to pay for something huge and all you had were a crap load of nickels.

I wanna know how they transported the nickels. it’s not like they can just put them in their pockets and carry them off. i can’t count how many times i’ve run across truckloads of nickels, and regretted that i didn’t have a truck to steal them with. i think it was a well planned heist, or the trucker himself is part of it.

In a way, it’s rather amusing, as no one in their right mind is going to roll That many nickels and try to cash or deposit them, unless they’re some type of idiot, or merchant. My guess is they will utilize those coin redemption machines we see at the markets. Quite an effort to even do That, but they’d be working for themselves, so to speak and surely wouldn’t balk at the nominal fee.
By the way, how does one even know it’s a truckload of nickels? And. oh yeah, The Feds suspect “foul play”. There’s a revelation for ya to ponder.
