I actually live in Mackay where this happened and I have to admit when I heard this on our local news update I couldn’t help but laugh. You might also be interested to know that a Yr 5 student of one of the schools in Mackay took a hand grenade to school for show and tell…. the police were called in, the grenade was put out on an oval just in case and traffic was diverted before they realised it was a harmless family heirloom that wassn’t live and was no harm to anyone. And I thought Mackay was the most boring place to live in the universe….. guess I was wrong. It sure is a great time to live in Mackay!
