If you like your furniture, train your cat better. Nothing works better than a BB gun when they start scratching the furniture (OK, I’m sure I’m going straight to hell for saying that).
We use those for our house cat and they work great for preventing scratches on our furniture, curtains, clothes, and our skin. It’s a humane way of avoiding getting your cat declawed. Our cat is used to them and they don’t bother him one bit. They come in several different colors or you can just get clear if you don’t want your cat to look like a sissy. If your cat is also spends time outdoors, you can just put them on their front paws and then they can climb with their back paws when they need to.

Actually if you like your furniture that’s not a bad idea. It would be pretty bad though if you let your cats go outside with those on.
