Another Microsoft “Solution”

Microsoft’s solutions to their problems have been asinine in the past. So how would they suggest you block pop-ups? “Contact the administrators for the Web site and ask them to remove the pop-up ads from the site.” I wish I were joking.

their latest security patch has been a major pain in the butt too. One of the ‘fixes’ is to disallow the passing of auth in a URL, one of the workarounds we’ve implemented for a few problems. Whose internet?

I use the Google Toolbar. Works great. It has blocked 2387 popups since Nov 6, 2003. I’ve seen maybe 5 get through.

Yes, the Google Pop Up Blocker is nice, but is has blocked some legitmate popups in my case. I disable it as needed, but it’s still the best out there.
