Can we send him there?

President Bush wants to establish a permanent human presence on the moon. I think there are better things to worry about right now (*cough*enormous debt*cough*) then blowing/budgeting money for something like this.

So young to be a curmudgeon, Jake. I’ll chalk it up to a bad back and a bad week;-/
Did you feel going to the moon the first time was a waste of time? Those were the arguments then: “Spend the money on Earth where it’s needed!” I presume you’ve read over the decades of all the advancements the space program found that improved our daily lives. Maybe you believe they woulda happened anyway. I highly doubt it.
If we don’t reach for the stars, then we’re gonna waste our lives scrummin’ on this little planet. IMHO;-)

Really, is there anything on the moon that we don’t already know? I’m all for going to mars, as we know nothing about it, but we’ve explored the hell out of the moon. The billions that will go into that mission should be spent elsewhere or to work down the massive debt that was created in the last few years.

And this has nothing to do with my long week or back pain. Really 😉

something about the moon we don’t already know?! My god?! Are you stupid?! We haven’t found that blasted cheese yet!
but seriously, I’d rather have money spent on building newer, more effective space craft. those shuttles are getting damned old.
