From what I understand, it was part of a typeface used for it’s Bookshelf reference software as part of a symbol library. Yes, it was derived from a Japanese font set, but I don’t know if even the Japanese want to have anything to do with that symbol anymore. Hitler destroyed whatever religious conotations were left with that symbol.
true … but the japanese were never involved with any of that! you’re not up on their ‘history’ textbooks? 😉 … anyway, just wish the nazis could have mucked up a less useful symbol.
