“I just called them every five minutes and let them know that, no, I don’t have a crack in my windshield, because this seems to be something they are very concerned about,” Plaisted said. Full story.

School sets up cameras in locker room
But they forgot to change the default passwords on the images storage devices. A bunch of people saw the picks. Whoops. Now they’re getting sued.
Woman who works four part-time jobs wins $138 million jackpot
These are the kind of people who should win the lottery — the folks who have had to work their butts off for their money (let’s just ignore her gambling habit). From Obscure Store: “Bernie” Geitka, a 54-year-old single woman who plays slot machines and who has worked four part-time jobs to buy her house, opted for the lump-sum cash option for her winnings, for a final payment of $76.1 million after taxes.
SWG = Big fight with wife
Ok, so Jake and Ken both tell me I’m pathetic. Here’s why: I play Star Wars Galaxies too much. Over the weekend I played til 5 am one night. It’s really a sweet game, but Monday night there was a disturbance in the Force.
And it manifested into a complex arguement with my wife, fueled by two months of resentment at Shadowbane (which I must add, I haven’t hardly thought about since Friday afternoon).
So, I have to tone it down a little…after next Tuesday…cuz wife goes outta town today for 6 days!

In case you needed another reason to not be a jerk on the phone, just be aware you could be giving away company secrets.
Sept 11, 2003: PhotoBlog your life
Quoting Rob’s Site with a good idea:
I’ve been thinking about September 11th. I’ve been thinking about the United States response – The Patriot Act. Invading Afganastan & Iraq. Death. Fear. Oppression.
It seems to me that this is NOT the America I want the world to know. So I propose a blogwide Photoblog your Life day on September 11th. Take your camera with you. Take pictures. Show the world your life. Show the world your daily delights. Show the world that we choose life, happiness and freedom.
This is a really cool idea, and come 9/11, I may be doing the same thing.
Update on 7/1: The main September 11th photo blog on Rob’s site has been setup here.
City installs new bus stops — too bad they’re not on bus route
Why does this not surprise me that something like this would happen on the tax-payer’s dime?
