What’s in the 9/11 Report?

You’ve probably already heard about the 9/11 report that was just released. There are a few ways you can dive into the contents:

Either way, read the thing, despite its length, as it’s probably one of the most important looks into the failures of our government (and it wasn’t just Bush).

Athletes Compete Better After Sex

I remember when I was a hardcore endurance athlete, I remember reading articles on the pros and cons of sex before competition, and even remember reading stories about how some women athletes would get pregnant just before the games and abort the pregnancy so they could reap all the hormonal and blood level benefits that come with pregnancy.

I did find this article entertaining, and it basically makes the Olympic village look like a giant party with lots of parties and lots of sex, and even quotes a psychologist that says “More sex means more gold.”

College Offers Online Degree in ‘Cybersleuthing’

From the Raw Feed:

Champlain College in Vermont announced an online Computer and Digital Forensics program to train students to apprehend criminals who use the Internet to commit crimes. Online students can earn a professional certificate, associates degree or bachelor’s degree entirely online.

I’ve actually always been interested in digital forensics, and getting a degree entirely online might be something to consider down the road — might go good with my journalism degree. Really. But my wife needs to finish her degree, first, which I’m working on getting setup for her as we speak.

Employers: Read This

Pay your employees more, and you’ll actually keep labor costs down. Makes smart sense to me, actually.

“Stop beating up your women because you can’t find a job.”

Harsh words directed at blacks from Bill Cosby. This was after he lambasted blacks last month.

What Bill said was harsh, but he’s absolutely right: No matter if you black, white, purple, or whatever, you can’t keep blaming your problems on somebody else keeping you down. Ninety-percent of the time, the problem is not somebody else, but it’s you.

Simone, Print This Up

If anybody out there takes photographs at all (I’m looking at you, Simone), be sure to carry around this handy document that describes what you can take pictures of, what do to if you get arrested, what to do if they ask to confiscate your film, etc… .
