I’ve mentioned nearly two years ago that the military owns the rights to the frequencies used by many garage door openers. Apparently the issue is still a problem, as the Air Force is inadvertantly opening garage doors in Colorado.

Sounds Of Windows Vista
Apparently it took them a ton of time to get the sounds just right for the upcoming Windows Vista (18 months on the start up sound alone). Here’s a video comparing the sounds from Windows XP to Vista.

So I head to the store for a caffiene run. Walk up to the counter with my straight-from-the-tap caffiene of choice, and the lady behind the checkstand was getting trained. So I listen in, and they say that if I hadn’t put my straw in my cup, I could’ve used food stamps on my soda, but since I put my straw into my cup, I couldn’t (not that I was using food stamps, but she was getting trained).
The trainer nor the trainee had any idea why that was the case, but that’s just what they were told.

Protecting The Family Jewels
I played Little League Baseball for about 10 years growing up, and generally wore a cup for most of it. I played a lot of catcher in my later years, and you only make the mistake of not wearing it once. But the dang things were always stupidly uncomfortable, which is why I wish they had the Nutty Buddy when I was a young lad. Be sure to watch the demonstration video where the guy takes a shot with the baseball coming from a ball machine at nearly point-blank range.
Also of note: While women are vain with clothes sizes (which is why a size 8 isn’t like it used to be), there is no “small” size for this cup. No man wants to wear a small cup and admit to it.

How Do You Get Your Site On Digg’s Front Page?
If you’re KTVZ, you just get oddball content off the AP wire that will occassionally get you a pile of traffic. But if you don’t have an AP wire feed like they do, there are a couple of not-so-ethical methods to go about it.
Either you can follow these 10 steps on the SEO Black Hat site, or just buy yourself some Diggs on User/Submitter. They’ll get you on there, but I don’t know if I’d be able to sleep at night.
On a related note, I’ve gotten hit by Digg once (that I know of), and I didn’t use either of those methods.
