In the middle of a commercial break here on Top Chef, so figured I’d share some simple but fun time killers, all found via the Webgames area of Reddit:

• The Crossing — never have deer falling to their death looked so nice.
• Amoebas, a very simple game that will drive you crazy really fast as you get into higher levels.
• Cover Orange has a simple premise: Protect the Orange(s) from the mean cloud and the rain of spikey balls using a variety of objects. It gets pretty complicated pretty fast.

Obechi is a simple game — capture the dots — but gets really hard in later levels. I got to level 15 before I got too mad at it that I was about to scream.

You might not make it to bed tonight if you try to complete all the levels of Pyro II.

Swing around like Spider Man in the simple Double Wires. I got up to 50 yards, Robert (who sent this over — thanks!) got up to 80 yards. How far’d you make it?

It’s low-res, but a helluva lot of fun: it’s Pixel.

Max likes to destroy things. Help him achieve Maximum Damage.

Time Fcuk is a great low-res platformer that not only has a ton of great levels of its own, but has a ton of great user-created levels.

Frantic 2 has some obnoxious music, but it’s still a fun, frantic, game.

I’ve finally got around to creating a “Games” category on this site (adding a “Videos” category next), and will be trying to move old entries into the category as time allows.

Meanwhile, here’s something for the category:

• Civiballs 2, a sequel to a game I posted a while back.
• Upgrade Complete is a silly game where the entire goal is to make the game functional.
• Spelunky is a frustratingly challenging game for Windows that will kill off many hours/days/weeks if you let it.
