Microsoft Windows Link Dump

Had these links sitting in my box for a while here, decided to share them all at once.

I Never Thought I’d Say This…

…but I actually support Wal-Mart on this. There are advantages of being a greedy company as large as Wal-Mart as they’re the only ones that can take on the even more greedy bastards at the RIAA.

Amazing Guitar Work

I’ve linked to some amazing guitar work in the past, but what makes this one so impressive is that this guy has no arms and plays “Last Dance With Mary Jane” by Tom Petty beautifully.

Why Didn’t Anybody Think Of This Sooner?

This is one of the coolest inventions I’ve ever seen: A rechargeable AA battery with a built-in USB connecter that you can plug into any USB port to charge. Just flip back the tip and plug it in. Very nice, indeed.

Dancing Wonder Kid

OK, this may be totally fake, I have no idea, but this little kid (or midget, I have no idea) getting jiggy is pretty dang impressive.

I’ve Always Wanted To Do This In A Movie Theater

More Fun Flash Games

Not much in the way of links today, as I’m just totally slammed with stupid projects that somebody else should be doing. Just the same, Jesse sent me this great site that has links to all the games that have been featured on the digg.com front page. There are some great ones there that haven’t been posted here (some that have) so enjoy!

Local Photographer Published In Time Magazine

<ego stroke>Congrats to Simone at Emerald Bay Photography who recently got her first photo published in Time Magazine</ego stroke>.

Granted, I’m taking Simone’s word on this as the two stores that I was at yesterday had the particular issue, but they didn’t have this story in them for some reason (Maybe it’s a regional thing?). Congrats just the same, Simone!

Pac Man For Excel

If you have a limited list of applications that your IT guys will let you can run at the office, and MS Excel is on that list, you can still play games at the office now that somebody has created Pac-Man for Excel. It’s actually fairly smooth on my PC, but I’ve heard it’ll run a bit slow on older PCs. Also make sure you have Macros enabled in Excel, otherwise the thing doesn’t run. But this is by far the most impressive use for Excel I’ve ever seen.

I’ve put a mirror copy here in case the guy goes over his bandwidth quota.

Best Use For Milwaukee’s Best Light

Put cans of it in a cannon, and shoot it at stuff. Watch this impressive slow-motion footage…
