It’s April Fools 2011, and as usual, the Internet is full of stupidity and jackassery. Among funny ones that I’ve seen today:
- Hulu’s partying like it’s 1990.
- Mentioned this last night, but Woot’s Crapshoot to get a bag of crap was entertaining.
- Have a web cam? Control your Gmail with Motion.
- YouTube has added a “1911” button to most of their videos, making the video appear to be old silent movies (with piano soundtrack and everything). Click through some of the videos on yesterday’s dump and click the 1911 button.
- Give your fingers and exercise with Chromercise.
- As usual, Thinkgeek comes up with April Fools products that need to become a reality.
- In an effort to save money, WestJet is filling their planes’ cabins with helium.
- Search for Comic Sans on Google. Watch the typeface as Google’s switching to Comic Sans.
Feel free to share your favorites in the comments below. If I get motivated (’tis my day off, and there are “Honey-Dos” to be done) I’ll post more later today.
Update: A few more my wife spotted:
- Kodak unveils a system to automatically purge an unwanted person from photos.
- 3D Movies make you sick? De-3D them.
- The Anti-Social Media blog suddenly loves social media.
