He may not be committing a crime, but if I worked at one of those coffee stands, I don’t know if I’d be able to avoid dumping cup of scolding hot coffee on him.

Update on 8/31: Looks like the guy was finally arrested. (Note: I’d like to the more-detailed Bulletin story, but you’d have to pay for it, and KTVZ doesn’t have the story up yet.)
Update at 10:45: Here’s KTVZ’s story which actually has more up-to-date details than the Bulletin’s — he was apparently arrested for seven flashing incidents at five drive-throughs.

In fact, if he shows no sign of… um, er… ‘interest’ and doesn’t say anything offensive etc… then the person who poured hot coffee on him would actually be in violation of the law. Go figure!!!
I wonder if maybe the parent was more freaked out than the girls? If I were that age I’d just laughing my butt off with friends, not freaked out by it.
But who knows?

What I find funny has nothing to do with the naked guy, but with the newscast. They cut to the woman “on the scene” and the first thing she says is that she’s standing in front of a coffee house, but not one with any incidents from the nudist… Is it so hard to go to the right place, or do they not have the best latte’s there? Maybe this pantsless man is trying to make a statement about the quality of foam in his morning capacinno.
Hurray!! Gary Scott Harding, 37, has been arrested for public indecency and stalking.
I can’t WAIT to hear this guy’s story.
What I don’t understand is the inconsistencies in the two news stories. One article says he is 37 and there is a $30,000 bail, the other says that he is 43 with a $40,000 bail. The first article said that he did nothing wrong by driving through with his pants down, why all of a sudden can he be arrested for the same thing? And since when is it considered stalking by going through a drive through multiple times?
Gary Harding was born in 12/66. I am the mother of the one victim that he visited multiple times. He admitted that he pinpointed my minor daughter cause “she reminds him of his ex-wife”…He also has a past sex offense with a minor that he was unfortunetly never convicted of for some reason. His sentencing is set for tomorrow and will probably just get time served and be released. Due to the fact that he no longer has a job, a home or a wife, he could become even more dangerous to the community.

This man has been released. He admitted to being mentally ill and having mental problems for a long time. It was made very clear today in court listening to him speak that he is mentally unstable yet is now out amongst our community. He has no where to live or work so he is apt to be lurking around our streets of Bend looking for more victims
Also, this guy was ordered to complete a sex offenders treatment program which he has already complete once in the past for a different incident in Wasco County involving a sex crime with a minor….How many of these treatment programs does he get to attend? They obviously are not working….
laura, if you get a chance to read this, I know its been many years, but I am, unfortunately, Garry’s daughter. I was at the time he committed the crime, 15. The problem is, he’s a psychopath. He can go through treatment after treatment, but he knows how to play mind games. He tells the therapist what they’re hoping to hear, that they’re doing their job and making this man safe for our community again. This man’s probation is almost up and I just want you to know that I’m 100% on your side.
