Anybody Have Some Time I Can Borrow?

So the new job is going well. I’m still trying to wrap my head around ConnectWise, but I’m getting there. The people there are great, the company’s philosophies are good, and things are going smoothly. And I actually get home earlier from work, so I can see my kids more (shorter commutes are nice, though I did have to wait at a train crossing three times in the last week).

Meanwhile, since it’s the end of the school year, and there are a bunch of concerts, recitals, and other end of the year activities with the kids, including my own mess of stuff. I have rehearsals and/or concerts tonight through next Tuesday, which means I won’t be able to come up for air much after work or on the weekends.

In other words, this blog is going to be neglected for a bit more time. I have a ton of fun reading material and videos to share, but I actually need to sleep now and again.

With that being said, good night.

Hey, we use ConnectWise, too! It’s a (reasonably) great tool. What software do you use for remote management?

Jake says:

Kaseya, I think, is pretty much what we use to manage the desktops/servers at our clients offices, branded for our use, and it ties into Connectwise. We have a license for LogMeIn Remote as well, I think. I’m still learning my way around the software here 🙂
Connectwise is pretty powerful. Still trying to wrap my head around it.

Burton says:

Yeah, we use Kaseya as well, though word on the street is that a lot of companies are switching to ConnectWise + LabTech due to the better integration between the two. (Also, ConnectWise invested in LabTech a while ago.)

The Dren says:

I’ve been using Connectwise at the new job for just over a year now, great program, if you use it correctly.
Are you guys using the time entry and dunce widgets?

Jake says:

I have the widgets ready to play with, but I’m waiting until I learn the software a bit better and get moved into the Service Manager role (soon) before I start playing with the widgets a bit more.
