Tom Cruise Is A Nut Job, Part 2

Nearly a couple years ago, I posted a bit about how Hollywood Nut Job Tom Cruise insisted that Katie Holmes remain absolutely silent during the birth of their child because of his Scientologist beliefs. This week, things get a little crazier.

A video was circulating around the ‘net with Cruise talking about his beliefs in his “religion.” Most of the sites hosting the video have been forced to remove it, but Gawker is holding to their guns and hosting the video, despite the legal threats from the Scientologists. Denton and his lawyer have some serious balls, and I can’t wait to see how this plays out.

You can also see a complete collection of Tom Cruise Scientology videos here, while they last.

Why Does Oregon Even Bother To Have Primary Elections?

I agree with Burton here: Why does Oregon even bother having primary elections? By the time the election happens in May, most of the candidates will have dropped out of the race, making Oregon’s influence on the Presidential election pretty much nil.

Is there any reason for this, other than tradition? Am I missing something obvious? I’d like to think our votes actually mean something (not like they do in a Presidential election anyway — damn that Electoral College).

Dumping Off Printer Stuff

In case anybody’s interested, I have a nice Xerox color laser printer that needs some work for sale up on Craigslist as well as a big load of ink and a couple maintenance kits for the printer over on eBay. I’m sure they’re a good deal to somebody.

Why Can’t Somebody Invent Something Like This?

I’ve always been frustrated beyond belief with loud bass from cars, and I would pay good money if somebody would invent this.

Newsgator Consumer RSS Readers Are Now Free

I used FeedDemon for years before moving to Newsgator Inbox. I’ve paid for both programs before (they’re both great programs), and it’s great that I won’t have to keep paying for them and can now use their synchronization service to keep feeds in check on all my various locations (online from anywhere, in Outlook, or via my Blackberry).
