I never usually participate in memes at all, but since all it requires me is to quickly copy and paste and mark stuff as bold or not, I’ll play along since I was already working in my HTML editor anyway.

Interesting read; you learn a lot about somebody like this, really. Out of curiosity: who’s life did you save, and how?
A couple times, one being more life threatening than another:
1) When I was in high school at a running camp in the Steens Mountains, we were all sitting down at a nice waterfall, taking a break during a long hike. A friend of mine slipped and started sliding down towards a cliff that dropped off down the waterfall towards a crapload of rocks. Right before his legs slipped over the edge, I dove and grabbed his arm and in a shot of pure adrenaline, threw him back up on the ground. It all happened so fast, that nobody there — minus the guy I grabbed and I — really knew what was happening.
2) When I was in college, I was at a staff party at the Oregon Daily Emerald. I was sitting there at the bar, waiting for my soda, and one of the ad sales reps at the table next to me started choking, face turning purple, the whole thing. I performed the heimlich on him, knocked his food loose, sat him back down, made sure he could breathe and that his airway was clear, got my soda and walked off, as I didn’t want to make a big deal about it, and I’m sure the guy didn’t, either. He thanked me privately later, and I said it was no big deal — I didn’t want it to be a big deal, I just was happy all the years I took Red Cross First Aid and CPR training growing up paid off.
I was told that kissing in the rain is something everyone should do. True?
Absolutely true, Lisa. 🙂
Ok, curious about #31 ( was it non work related?) [non blog related too?]
and #132 WHAT?!?!?!!!!
#31: I’ve screamed like that more than once — I was really loud at sporting events through school 🙂
#132: That was truly an accident. When I was in college I was visiting a friend and sleeping on the floor her apartment down in S. Central Los Angeles (right across from the USC campus). I woke up in the morning to a coakroach about two inches away from my face (it looked about 50 feet tall). I swatted at it, smacked it across the room. It was a brief touch, but was a touch. And it was enough.
Jake..Laughing my a$$ off at your reply!!!! I know it must have been horrible for you but…
it just has this hilarous ring to it.. HAHAHAHA! ( sorry)..I would have done the exact same thing!)
