More Idiot Politicians Blaming Video Games For Violence

This time in Germany

BERLIN (Reuters) – Leading German lawmakers demanded a crackdown on violent computer and simulated war games on Tuesday over concerns that they may have helped inspire a young man to attack his former school with guns and explosives.

The masked 18-year-old man stormed the Scholl secondary school on Monday in the western German town of Emsdetten, wounding as many as 27 people before committing suicide.

And you know why they’re trying crack down on makers of video games instead of people who make the guns and weapons? I think this Boondocks comic pretty much sums it up:

Sorry Jake, that’s still the wrong answer.
When none of the law abiding citizens have guns, you can damn well betcha every criminal will have one.
And no such thing as the dream world of “no more guns in the world”. That’s as inane as “no more coffee cups”. Who in their right mind is going to hand over their weapon?
So in the REAL world, we have to give laws some TEETH and stop the lawyers who defend these scum.

Jake says:

Oh, I’m not saying guns are the root of all evil — don’t get me wrong there. I just think that politicians really are misguided if they think that video games are the problem when there are far more explainable reasons than a video game.

That one girl says:

Duh. I suppose if my brain were attached I’d have followed to that conclusion. You’re right… it’s not the video games.
Shall we try poor parenting (it’s my generation, so I can say that) and lack of accountability?
I think once we can get attorneys removed, things should improve 😉

That’s true, and hilarious!! Hahaha
