I’m Home

Made it home a few hours ago. The wedding was very nice (Emily, you and Stephen are going to make a wonderful husband and wife), and it was nice to see everybody there. I’m sitting here watching my 1200+ email messages download here, so I’ll get through those tomorrow.

One last thought before I get to bed: Taking a vacation with kids (especially when they’re 3 and 6 years of age) is not a vacation — it’s exhausting.

Tell me about it… I just got back from a 5 day extended weekend which ended up being cold and rainy.
Got back totally exhausted and run down. Having said that, roller coasters in the rain rock!

That’s why we leave the kids with my folks or in-laws when we leave town. Everyone gets something they want that way.
Aaron – you’re right, rode Millennium Force in the rain at Cedar Point a couple of years ago and it was something else.

Well, one year we went to newport with Christian (this is before Jaydon was born of course 🙂 and it was exhausting. Then the next year we went by ourselves and left Christian with his Grandmother for the weekend…….. and it was no fun. I’ve found that a vacation isn’t as enjoyable now when you can’t see it through the eyes of your children. 🙂
