Let’s look over the last 30-days, shall we? First, there was the MySpace predator. Then we heard all about the Redmond High School teacher (aka “daddyforyoubend”). And today we get this disturbing news:
A Redmond man was arrested at his engine-rebuilding business on abuse and attempted rape charges involving a 17-year-old Redmond girl he met online at the Website Cupid.com, police said Wednesday. Computers were seized in raids at his business and northeast Redmond home.
Am I the only dad who is watching his little girls grow up and is worried about these freaks? Then again, why did a 17-year-old have a profile on Cupid.com?

You think that’s bad? The Netherlands can always beat that: this time some pervs have gone and started their own national political party. Read up on it here (in english, don’t worry).
You’re not the only one watching and wondering what kind of world his girls are going out into. Some of you are “luckier” than the rest of us.
Yeah, I’ve heard your stories, Patrick — and while I won’t go into them here (you’re welcome to post a link if you’re able to), I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes :-(.
Point parents to this guide:
“…So, as a good citizen of my town, state, nation and world, I would like to give you all the super secret method to protect your children from the dangers and images on the internet. From pornography and predation. From immorality and immodesty. From distraction and diseased minds. It is not 100% accurate, but it is vastly closer than any law, any technology, and any censorship that has yet to be developed.
And it is free….”

What used to happen behind the corner store now happens down the hall. Parents, please step up and protect your kids.
