Over a year ago, I linked to some vector-based Illustrator images that were so photo realistic it was amazing. But these images of Chicago’s Damen station are even more amazing (and look at the close ups to see the amazing detail you can get with vector-based art). The site above is a bit slow, as it’s getting hammered a tad, so I’ve mirrored it here as everybody should see this amazing work.

He actually used a combination of Illustrator and Photshop to create the piece.
Yes, but the bulk majority of it was done in Illustrator, as you can tell my the detail of the zoomed in image. Photoshop was used to just add little details that couldn’t easily be done in Illustrator.
You forget the dimensions of the final work. In actual inches, where he zooms is not that large of a magnification percentage.
But anyways, he spent plenty of time working on it lol.
