If anybody locally is looking for work, read on, as I’ve gotten wind of a few jobs (some freelance, some full time) around here that might interest some folks.
- The company I work for is looking for a full-time front desk reservationist. It’s a fast-paced vacation rental company in Sunriver (it’s actually fairly slow right now, but we’re trying to get people on and trained before it gets crazy later this year). The people here are great and a fun bunch to work for. It’s a small, family run company, and the sooner we hire somebody, the sooner I can quit working the front desk and get to the rest of my projects [grin]. Anyway, to copy our Bulletin ad copy, you must be able to prioritize, have outstanding communication skills, strong work ethic, exceptional customer service and basic computer knowledge. Must be willing to work weekends. Shifts will vary from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. $9.00 hour, will vary based on qualifications. - Another Sunriver vacation rental company (who shall remain nameless right now, but I’m good friends with the owner and it’s a company we work with quite a bit) is looking for a marketing/Web person. They’re not looking for a die-hard computer geek, as they have that, but they’re looking for a person who knows a lot about Web and print marketing and design, and can troubleshoot minor technical issues if need be.
