We have a pile of stray cats that run around our neighborhood, tearing things apart, fighting in the middle of the night, pooping in yards, etc… . While animal control doesn’t really give a rip about them, I wish I could just trap them or something like they tried to do in Wisconsin.

Right. I’ll bet stray rednecks running around with 12-guage shotguns shooting stray cats for kill will really make Wisconsin a much more pleasant place to live in.
you don’t live by me — do you?
Let’s just leave that cougar alone, he’ll solve our feral cat (and cheese eating surrender poople) problem. Evidence, you ask: we no longer have a feral cat problem on campus.
Actually, the report is kind of wrong (and old). I live in Milwaukee, and as yet, the bill is getting close to passing. (There’s some more legal mumbo-jumbo I don’t understand that could last a few more months…) From a native’s opinion, “feral” cats are not a problem in the city and therefore the law should not be valid in the city, and only be voted on a county-by-county basis, so more rural areas where wild cats ARE a problem can handle the situation in an appropriate manner that does not suit areas such as Milwaukee and Madison. Sorry. Tangent. I’ll shut up now.
Hey – check out the cat trapper. Maybe she can give you pointers!
