This just angers me. A student used a cell phone to capture video of teacher yelling at student, and then posts the video on his Web site. What’s the school district do? They punish the student, and leave the teacher alone. Asinine? Dang right it is.

Thats pretty good video quality for a camera. The teacher was actually pretty tame. At least he didn’t hit anyone.

Totally. When I read the description I had expected something more… dramatic. It’s just another grumpy high school teacher, and some kid recording it for kicks.
sorry I’m siding with the teacher…the chair pull was so minor. The kids come across as brats.you try teaching kids in schools nowadays. when I was a kid you respected authority figures like teachers. doesn’t happen much anymore.

I’ve got to agree with y’all. It’s a group of disrespectful kids that wouldn’t stand for the pledge. And I’ve seen teachers go worse.
For those that think the teacher was out of line, you probably haven’t been in a high school for a long while. Show this video to a high school teacher and see what they think.
Well, he didn’t really yank it out from under him as much as tip him off. I side with the teacher, the class had probably been rowdy all morning from the constant giggling.
That video is nothing. Some of my high school teachers were twice as bad… I remember one teacher getting into a fight with a student because he was being disrespectful. He kept saying “You want a piece of me? You want to go outside and finish this?”. I can see why the student was punished for unknowlingly recording a class.
Absurd. The students were being jackasses but the teacher has NO right to make the student stand for the song. The student was using his freedom of speech to sit down and the teacher should be repremanded for his behavior. The students that gave him trouble should also be delt with.
This teacher did absolutely nothing wrong. Kids today have absolutely no respect for authority. I wish there were more teachers like him.
I side with the teacher too my old teacher mr.L was much meaner than that he pick up a kid with chair and all and carry him out to the hall all becuse the kid didn’t hear him ask him to leave
So it’s OK if someone gets stabbed twice because you got stabbed three times when you were a kid? That logic makes no sense. The kids were disrespectful, though, and I will say that there did not seem to be enough information from the video. The guy seemed to just turn it on when the teacher started yelling.

i have to agree with syckls with the first thing he said…im a 10th grader in PA and all of my teachers are exactly the same as that if not worse…i was late for my class on the FIRST day of school and my science teacher grabbed me by my shirt, got in my face and started yelling at me…”you better NOT be late again i dont care if its the first damn day of school he said…just a couple of days ago my other teacher yelled at a student for whispering to another kid “do u have a pen or pencil i can use? i mean it BITCHED at the kid…then he called the whole class stupid “yea youre all stupid..you people have no intelligence at all” this is where i fliiped out back on him and grabbed HIM by HIS shirt like he does to me and other students and said “what in the hell gives you the right to call us stupid? who do you think you are? and guess what happened///I got taken out of school by a cop and taken to the police station…the teacher filled harrassment charges on me and i got 5 days out-of-school suspension…he got NOTHING….its no wonder we “teenagers” dont have respect for authority…these kinds of people should HAVE authority as a teacher…if a teacher can call me stupid then i should be able to call him an asshole..
BTW—i meant to say these people should NOT have authority as a teacher
