I mentioned earlier how the U.S.’s new education secretary denounced PBS spending public money on a cartoon with lesbian characters. The producers of the show at WGBH, thanks to a great deal of public support, have decided that, despite PBS not distributing it, they’re going to release the show to any public TV station that wants it. OPB plans on broadcasting it.
I greatly respect OPB for airing this, however, they’ve decided to run the episodes on Sunday February 6 at 10:30pm and Tuesday, February 8 at 4:30am — two of the worst times imaginable for a kid’s show (the usual episodes of “Postcards From Buster” run weekdays at 3:30pm and Saturdays at 8am). I commend them for running the episodes, but it’s pointless if you’re not doing it at a time where a kid won’t even see it. Even with its brief exploration into lesbianism, it’s still a children’s show, folks.

Children don’t need to be taught about deviant lifestyles – it’s destructive to their identity and well-being as they mature.
“Deviant”? Says who. Lesbians are as normal as anyone else. Gay people have existed for all recorded history, and homosexuality is present in most mamillian species. As American as country music, apple pie, and well, maple syrup.

“Lesbians are as normal as anyone else.”
That’s not what the stastics say. All bias aside the facts show that 1, if mankind adopted homosexuality as a whole – it would be the end of mankind. 2, the homosexual lifestyle is not as healthy as the heterosexual lifestyle. Without laying out a bunch of stats, I don’t think any honest person would argue with that.
Oh man this is going to get messy….

If mankind adopted the priesthood as a whole, that would be another way to end the human race within 70 years or so.
It’s easy to be unhealthy when there are millions of people that hate you for no (good) reason.
(sorry to post and run but I just found this site on a google search, and I do not expect to come back; If I didnt say it, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before somebody did)

sorry, josh…all bias aside…the statistics show 1) that this is the 21st Century; and that if the entire species were to suddenly become homosexual, human life would continue to thrive; 2) AIDS rates are rising more quickly in heterosexual populations than in heterosexual ones
The point of the TV show is to show children different types of families in order to enable them to better understand their classmates, neighbors, and friends. Certainly then, the lucky children who get to see this episode of Buster will grow to be more tolerant than some of those who have posted…
