Wal-Mart Wants $10 CDs

Biggest U.S. record retailer battles record labels over prices. Wal-mart wants every CD you buy to cost less than ten bucks. And the nation’s largest retailer — which moved a quarter of a trillion dollars’ worth of goods last year…

Emily says:

I’m sorry to have to disagree with you my friend. Nothing Wal-Mart does is right. They use the power they have to bully entire nations into lowering their prices, which they say is for the benefit of their customers, but ultimately they wouldn’t do it if they didn’t profit. This, in turn, lowers environmental and human rights standards. I realize that this has to do with the big bad music industry guys and everything feels too expensive. But, they shouldn’t do this to anybody. I think my new life goal is going to be to run them out of every town in the world… Love you. Hope the family is good.

Jake says:

I never said that I don’t agree with you, Em’, because I do. Wal-Mart, buy and large, is evil, and I’ve made that pretty clear on this site, that’s for sure. But I do think it’s entertaining that one greedy corporation is taking on another greddy corporation, all in the name of profits.
