Google Image Search in ASCII

A neat little tool that takes whatever search term you put into the box, sends it through a Google Images search, takes the first image that gets returned, and turns it into ASCII art. So compare, and contrast (that picture is my father-in-law holding my two daughters).

That’s not ascii art, that is just HTML color effects applied to each character in a grid of arbitrary characters, in this case the arbitrary characters are the search query repeated a bunch. So, for instance, it would look like BS in lynx.
Now REAL asciiart… you want to check this out:
http://www1.zkm.de/~wvdc/ascii/java/
hint.. it is a certain famous 1970’s movie rendered into moving ascii art.. green on black, real characters used to make the shades.

Or here’s another interesting tidbit, this guy has a mirror of google’s entire search:

And yeah, you’ve gotta type in search requests backards 🙂

OK, so it’s not exactly ASCII art, it’s colored ascii art 🙂

And Jesse, I posted a link to that site Many moons ago 🙂

But it’s not colored ascii art either, it is just colored bs. Check out Gifscii if you want a true life ascii art converter. 😛

Are you crazy in the coconut? that is ascii art, unless youre an idiot who doesn’t understand that ascii art is art with letters/symbols. So what if they’re coloured? would you prefer a black and white picture?
