Seniors get a kick out of underwater vibrator part of sex class

From the Miami Herald (found via The Obscure Store), the Alliance group at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Miami hosted “Senior Citizens Are Coming Out of the Closet.” From the article:

‘When your grandchildren call you and say, `What did you learn today?’ ” Brand said, holding up an underwater vibrator, ‘You can say, `I learned about vibrators.’ ”

The seniors also got a kick out of the penis-shaped pasta.

5-year-old drives drunken mom home

To continue the moronic submissions, this story out of Australia. I’ll just quote the article:

A family of three has been injured in a car crash after a five-year-old boy sitting on his mother’s lap allegedly steered the vehicle because she was too drunk to drive. The boy’s nine-year-old brother allegedly told staff at Nambour Hospital, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, that his mother had been drinking and wanted her youngest son to steer the car while she operated the pedals, police said.

I feel more sorry for the kids than I do the mom. She’s an idiot, and put the lives of her kids in danger because she had a few too many to drink. Too bad she didn’t die, then she’d be eligible for the Darwin Awards.

Record broken for smashing concrete blocks into groin

Man, what an idiot. He next plans to break 50 baseball bats with his knee. The 34-year-old fitness expert claimed to have entered the Guinness Book of Records after three concrete blocks were smashed on his groin, the Asian Age newspaper reported on Monday. The previous record was two. Full Story Here. Talk about a ball breaker.

“Hi Jim, we’re being held hostage. Call me.”

This is something, in this day and age, you should never do. According to this Reuters Wire Story, An anti-terrorism squad raided the home of a Danish family after mistaking a light-hearted message on their answering machine for a hostage alert. Whoops….

How Does MSIE run so fast?

It cheats. According to this SlashDot comment (mirrored from a blog that has since been Slashdotted), MSIE doesn’t follow the standard protocols for browser-to-server communication. It cheats, and cheats even worse when the server is running IIS. A bit technical, but a very interesting read.

What’s worse: TV Newscasters or Politicians?

Maybe you heard about the 5 Arab terrorists who supposedly entered the U.S. via Canada within the last couple weeks. It was the lead story on CNN on a couple occassions. Understand, however, that it was pure speculation and there wasn’t any proof that terrorists (Arab or otherwise) came in to the U.S., via Canada or anywhere. But all it took was a few media outlets, and a few politicians to say a few words about it, and everybody is in a frenzy. What a mess. Read the full article here.

New Site Features

I finally have the comments feature (sort of) working (just close the pop up after you make a comment), and now have semi-functional archives (with search engine), I’ve added the posting categories to each entry so you can browse by category, and I even have made it so that you can throw your e-mail into the form at the top of the page, and you can be notified when I (or Gregg) update the page. Remember you can always recommend this site to your friends (and have a chance at winning $10-grand), donate to my cause, buy me something, hire me, or use the search tools in the upper-right hand part of the page to search various places (more coming soon). And remember, reloading the front page will always yield a new quote (there are several thousand in the database, so the likelihood of you getting the same one twice is slim).

Remember, come back daily, and we’ll try to have something new for you (Tuesday and Wednesday might be a bit slow, as those are my days off from work, and I’m usually updating this site when I’m waiting for my computer to process away through a pile of things or I’m on my lunch break).

What would happen if you wore a name tag all the time?
