Another Parent Of The Year Nominee

This time, instead of a drugged out mom, it was a dad who just made a mistake...

An 11-month-old boy died in the back seat of the family car in Concord on Wednesday after his father apparently forgot to drop him off at day care and instead left him locked inside the vehicle while he spent the day at work, police said.

The scariest part is at the end where the writer recounts multiple other instances when kids have died when "accidentally" left in a parked car. They neglected to mention the CSI episode where parents intentionally did it... in this case truth is stranger than fiction.

My wife and I use a tag-team method when moving the kids around by car. If I am dropping off, she calls me and asks how things went. If she is dropping off I call and see how it went. We've had a lot of this in Texas the past few years too.

is it that hard to check the car or know where your children are?
