But now that I live here, and having hiked through lava tubes, and seen how inhospitable lava fields are to exploration, and how difficult it is to reach certain areas in winter, I'm thinking maybe it would be possible for a creature that size to hide here without detection. Doesn't mean I believe in bigfoot, but I can admit a possibility. :)

You probably know somebody who thinks that shooting a BF creature is going to make them rich and famous. Wearing an ape or wookie costume outdoors is foolish and somebody could get killed.
