This Will Be A Huge Boon To Central Oregon Tourism

I'd completely avoid Central Oregon from June 14-17. Why? Because the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization is coming to Central Oregon, and you know those guys can get a little crazy searching for Sasquatch. But considering there have been twelve sightings in Deschutes County and 195 total in Oregon, I can see their reasons for coming here.

What a crazy website! I disagree with you, though, about leaving town. I'd encourage the Bend Downtowners to invest in some Ape Suits and go play in the woods during these dates. It will boost tourism, and help the economy!!!

When I lived in California, I figured bigfoot sightings had to be hogwash. How could a creature that big hide in this day and age? Those crazy Oregonians!

But now that I live here, and having hiked through lava tubes, and seen how inhospitable lava fields are to exploration, and how difficult it is to reach certain areas in winter, I'm thinking maybe it would be possible for a creature that size to hide here without detection. Doesn't mean I believe in bigfoot, but I can admit a possibility. :)

My husband could dress up in his monkey suit and hang out on the balcony?

There was a story about this in today's Bulletin (you have to pay to read it online, which blows). Somebody there is reading your site, Jake!

Mrs. H: I think you need to send him and that suit up in the woods.

Local: The local media read several of the popular blogs around here -- I'm hardly the only one getting skimmed for content ideas.

Although the BFRO organization is supposed to promote "no-kill" expeditions, I wouldn't count on everyone abiding by that rule. You probably know somebody who thinks that shooting a BF creature is going to make them rich and famous. Wearing an ape or wookie costume outdoors is foolish and somebody could get killed.

So, you're the Jake that went to lunch with Lynnette! She was my boss and will be sooooo missed!
