Angry Homeowners Attacking Snowplows

I know I've griped about this happening locally, but those folks in Nebraska really take things personally:

Angry homeowners have been cursing the drivers and even throwing shovels at them. The plows have been clearing more than two feet of snow off the roads. It seems the plows are pushing snow right back onto driveways that have been recently shoveled.

What's really funny is that this is news to city people. Yelling and throwing things has been status quo in my parts forever. Our children are brought up to use correct tense when swearing at the plows. Indeed a person would be better off just taking down their mailbox for the winter than try to keep it safe from the plows here. And that's when we can find the mailboxes. The plow drivers prefer to go at nothing less than 60 MPH at all times and on all roads which throws a plume of snow about 20 feet in the air and 50 feet off the side of the road -- it's the bystanders who need hazard pay. ;)

Welcome to rural Wisconsin! I love it! :)
