It’s Monopoly HP Supply Chain Edition:
I was taking pictures of a new home for our rental pool here at the office, and found the above in a closet (if I had time I would’ve taken better pictures of the thing, including a gameboard shot — will try later this week). It appeared to be a custom game created by the folks at USAopoly, which lists HP as one of their clients.
Anybody know the history of this and how folks ended up with it? Was it an employee or client/sales piece? All I know is that it sounds like a buzzword-filled good time for the whole family.

Couple time killers for you:
- Wake Up The Box is a fun little physics game where you need to knock the little box around and wake it up (walkthrough, if you’re stuck).
- Cubix is a simple game where you just need to collect matching colors and avoid the other colors, but as the game gets flying, it gets really chaotic and tough.
- And for something a little lower stress, Cat Got Lost is a fun little simple game where all you need to do is get the cat home.
Parenting Tip Numero Uno
While this whole article about seven things “good parents” do that screw up their kids is hilariously true, this quote really hit home as I’ve dealt with parents like this:
If you really want your children to learn from an early age, you need to read to them and supply the buggers with as much human-on-human interaction as possible, not park their adorable little butts in front of the f—ing television. TV programs and Infant Education videos use a series of rapidly changing scenes and constantly bombard your kids with new words. With time, their itsy bitsy minds start to filter out most of the information just to help manage the constant barrage, and voila! The kids develop shorter attention spans, and eventually the food service industry claims another life.
A little TV watching is fine (as I know moms are busy or need a break now and again), but if you’re doing it so you don’t have to deal with them or as a replacement for you interacting with them, then you have issues and your kid will have issues.

Drench is a tough little game with a simple premise: Fill the game board with the same color (starting with the top-left corner) by selecting adjoining colors to fill. I only made it through the first two levels.

I think Robert (who sent me this game) described RoboKill perfectly (even if he copy/pasted it from somewhere else):
RoboKill from Rock Solid Arcade is a sweet little shoot-em-up. Guide your robot through 10 missions, blasting away at everything in sight, upgrading armor and weapons as you go. Like all the other Rock Solid games, the game is on the simplistic side. But polished artwork, sound, and gameplay make it a fun time killer.
Indeed it is a great time killer.
