I’m looking to mount a Web cam outside, and need something to keep it relatively weather proof. It can be cheap, beat up, etc… I just don’t want to spend a bunch of money on this.

I also have a need for a USB Active Extension Cable (if you don’t know what an “Active” cable is, you probably don’t have one).

Anybody got one or the other and cheap? E-mail me as I have PayPal waiting 🙂

So don’t bug me :-). I’m in the process of setting it all up, so don’t expect much from me until tomorrow when it will hopefully be 90% setup.

I messed my back up pretty bad yesterday chopping wood, so don’t expect much in the way of updates today — I’m too doped up on pain meds.

Granted, it’s owned by the company, but it will be primarily mine to use. It’s nothing fancy, but using my reseller status with Sager Notebooks I was able to get a good deal:

Just an FYI, I’ll be back updating tomorrow. I was off work on Monday/Tuesday, and I usually update this more when I’m at work checking my email more often (as most of my submissions come via e-mail so e-mail me at [email protected]). Generally, I am off work on Tuesdays/Wednesdays, but maybe I can convince Gregg to post more during those days to keep you entertained.

Since the Dell is dead, that (and a bunch of other stuff from work here) are on eBay. My full listing of stuff is here. Hopefully I’ll make enough money to get some money towards a new(er) laptop.

I have a rather large announcement (and this will hopefully get some of you who haven’t bothered to call/write us for a while to start): Lydia and I are expecting another addition to the family! Lydia’s pregnant, due next Summer, so there will be another little one in the family. Hannah’s excited about being a big sister, and we’re excited to have another one (though this is probably going to be the LAST one…our house ain’t big enough). That means that all of you who have been meaning to stay with us since we had the extra room had better hurry, as that room’s going to the new child soon.

This also means that anybody who was expecting a gift from us is probably not going to get one as I’m dang-near broke, and had to take a pay cut at Sunray (www.sunrayinc.com) so I could get on the Oregon Health Plan (since they dropped their health coverage, as many companies are doing).

OK, it’s official, the Dell is dead. Anybody want to buy a Dell Inspiron 7000 for parts? It’s going on eBay, otherwise (along with the Tumbleweed that was for sale the other day).

Thanks to the Oregon Unclaimed Property Database, I’m about $120 richer! Apparently, I was owed a tax refund and small paycheck from one of my first jobs when I was in high-school. I filled out the form, sent it all in with proof of address change, and they just wrote me back, saying that I was owed a bit of money from two places.

This will be going to getting new brakes on my wife’s car before she plows into something.

So that would be why I couldn’t post the last few days. Just an FYI, I’m usually off on Mon/Tue or Tue/Wed, and when I’m at home I don’t post as much.
