I’d love to have one of this guy’s works in my house:
It’s cheap plug time again! The Cascade Winds Symphonic Band, Central Oregon’s premier concert band, will present the second concert of their 2010-2011 season under the baton of music director Dan Judd, March 6, 2:00 p.m. at Summit High School auditorium. That’s this Sunday for those of you that aren’t keeping track! This concert is free of charge, although donations are gratefully accepted.
The pieces we’ll be playing this time around (it’s going to be a good one):
These concerts are free, open to the public and suitable for all ages — and there are snacks at intermission, which is never a bad thing, right?

Man, I feel old, as I remember squealing like a schoolgirl when I opened up a box on Christmas morning to find that gold cartridge. 1up.com has a great collection of articles celebrating the anniversary, with my favorite probably being the 25 things you didn’t know about Zelda.
I think I’ve linked to something similar to this before, but I honestly can’t remember. typrX is a multi-player typing game that allows players to compete against each other over the Internet. I managed to get 71-ish wpm the couple times I did it late last week.
This guy can pull off some amazing stuff with a few bottles of spray paint:
Ignore the title of this video — it takes skill to be able to finish this game with this low of a score.
The game doesn’t look like the original as the guy is playing with a graphical hack. But it still takes some serious skill to play through the game and score less than 1000 points.
It’s a USB plug that will plug in and work whether it’s upside down or not. I can’t even count how many times I’ve had to blindly plug a USB device in and get the orientation of the plug wrong. I’d say at least 75% of the time I have it upside down because I can’t usually see the plug I’m plugging into very well. This needs to become a reality sooner rather than later.
While Engadget says it’s limited beta, it’s showing up on my account and I’m tempted to jump on it. Anybody using their GV number as their full-time number have comments on pros/cons of doing this? Obviously Google’s presentations are pretty slick, but I’d like to see how normal people are using it. I’m out of contract with Sprint now, and have an Android phone, so I’m thinking this might be the perfect time to try this. About the only thing I thinking of that aren’t working 100% right now would be MMS (not critical as I don’t use it a ton) and changing outgoing caller ID on my phone calls from my cell, but I’m sure there’s a way to change that.
