I’m getting caught up after my weekend off, and have a bunch of links sorted into several categories. So you’ll probably see more posts like this over the next few days.

Between buying stuff for my sweetheart of a wife (it‘s tomorrow, guys) to a crapload of work at my day job along with three concerts and two rehearsals, my week is going to be a mess (and it’s only Tuesday, and it’s already chaos). On the bright side, I got a new cell phone, so that’s always nice — too bad I haven’t had any time to play with it.

Meanwhile, I’ve been collecting links as usual, so to get some of them out of my link dump folder, here are a bunch of fun YouTube videos (after the jump).

No, I’m Not Watching The Game

If you’re stuck at work today like I am (trying to make sense out of our 14 account wireless phone bill, as I’m now in charge of that) instead of watching the game, here are some games to keep you entertained:

Cubefield: Simple little game, powed by two keys, but gets pretty hard pretty fast.
Team-based Open Source First Person Shooter (requires you to download and install it, but it looks pretty promising).
I don’t even know what this game is called, but it’s stupidly hard.

That’s all I’ve got right now, but if I come up with some other little fun game today (assuming I haven’t posted it already).

Disabling Snap’s Obnoxious Link Preview Bubbles

(First off, no, I’m not watching the Super Bowl — I’m at work. Anyway…)

I don’t know about you, but I get annoyed as heck at the sites out there that have those stupid little pop-up Snap.com Link Preview functionality on every single link on the site. It makes it so you can’t run your mouse around the site without getting bombared by the stupid things. Here’s a quick and easy way to turn the stupid things off without resorting to Firefox extensions and other creative hacks. Link via Kottke.

Where was this back in my apartment days?

This CD would’ve come in really handy back in the day when I shared a wall with other folks…

A great way to get back at those noisy neighbors! Give them a taste of their own medicine with any one of these 20 ear-splitting sound effect tracks. Anyone who’s ever lived in an apartment will really appreciate this hilarious CD! Earplugs supplied for your listening pleasure. Imported from France.

I love how it’s imported from France, as if it makes it that much more annoying (which it really probably does).

Stupidly Handy Windows Applications (and FireFox extensions, too)

I can’t believe I didn’t find Taskbar Shuffle a lot earlier, as I’ve always wanted the ability to rearrange my taskbar buttons like I do with my Firefox tabs.

Then I realized something: I have a ton of small little applications installed that make my windows experience a heck of a lot more entertaining, usable, and flexible, and all of them are free. And I’ve never documented them all in one place, so I’m going to make the attempt here (mostly so I can remember these in the future should my computer ever go haywire). These are in no particular order, and this post has been several weeks in the making.
