The fanciest game system I’ve ever had is my Nintendo DS, but after checking out this preview of Mario Kart for the Wii, I’m going to have to start saving up.

Ted Nugent is considering a run for governor of Michigan.

Exhibit A:

August 16, 2007 — A former model turned the tables on a mugger, beating him senseless on a Manhattan street until cops finally pried her off, authorities said yesterday.

Silva Natividad, 54, yesterday credited the TV show “COPS” for spurring her to tackle Jonathan Burkes on First Avenue near 38th Street at noon Monday.

“He grabbed my money and pushed me,” she said. “But I didn’t fall. I got a grip on myself.”

Natividad said Burkes tried to take off with the cash, but “you know how in ‘COPS,’ when they jump on the person before they run away? That’s what I did.”

While hybrid cars are nice and all, good diesel cars still, for the most part, kick the tar out of them when it comes to milage. If somebody came up with a diesel hybrd, they’d probably be rich. But in the meanwhile, Honda is showing off a diesel Accord that gets over 60 MPG (and I hear there are VWs that will get close to that as well). Naturally, this as news that the United States ranks at the bottom when it comes to fuel-economy standards.
