I’m about to head out of town on a much-needed week or so off where I will have limited cell phone access and nearly no Internet access, and I’m going to enjoy every minute of it. Everybody be good, converse among yourselves, enjoy some other local blogs and take in the following links and videos in the meanwhile (videos after the jump):
- The Periodic Table of SEO Ranking Factors.
- Somebody has far too much time on their hands: A Minecraft Cruise Ship.
- How to Detect Counterfiet Money.
- I’ve mentioned this guy’s site before, but it’s worth mentioning again as it’s still going: Running From Camera.
- I’m going to be using most of these circles on my Google+ account.
- A Tour of the World’s Worst Photoshop Propaganda.
- 10 Greatest Unintentionally Hilarious Lines from Science Fiction and Fantasy.
- If I ever build a house, I’m bulding in slides.
- The first domain linked to on MetaFilter is now a place to share stories about the site’s history.
- Why the Wealthiest Americans Are the Real ‘Job-Killers’ (though they do keep one industry in business).
- Meet the ‘Keyzer Soze’ of Global Phone-Tracking.
- Are you listening, Steve Jobs? There are a bunch of fake Apple Stores in China, and the employees actually think they’re employed by you.
- So you think you can build a website? Follow this handy flowchart to see if you’ve got what it takes to make it big.
- One of these days I’m going to make a Hackintosh, and I need to make sure I have this site bookmarked.
- How Digital Detectives Deciphered Stuxnet, the Most Menacing Malware in History.
- Windows 7’s no-reformat, nondestructive reintall.
- Plain Text Offenders, which chronicles sites that store passwords in plain text.
- Questions about 64-bit Firefox for Windows 64-bit users (you could always try Waterfox, which is a 64-bit build of Firefox). I’m not running a 64 bit OS, so I haven’t tried it, but report back if it works better.
- Photo Swipe is a nice image gallery for mobile and touch devices.
OK, video time — watch below…
I haven’t actually seen the movie, but the outtakes look hilarious:
Crazy Marriage Proposal:
Mathieu Bich Fooled Penn & Teller (you can actually purchase the cards and instructions on Mathieu’s site)
What LA Would look like with no cars on the roads (read more on the creator’s site):
A Star-Wars themed Tuna Commercial. I’m assuming that’s Tuna — it is in Japanese. It was still better than most of the content in the prequels.

Back To Reality
Back at the office today after the trip (good time was had by all, though I could use another week or 12 off). I’m still going through all the email…
