Corporate Sponsorship Has Gone Too Far

Now radio stations are selling the naming rights to their newsrooms. Thanks Barn for the link.

The Ultimate War Simulation Game

It’s like Command and Conquer but in real life with politics, celebrities, public support, and CIA agents who just kind of do their own thing. Funny stuff. Thanks sleepy for the link.

Pain In The Butt Geography Game

Now I know how little I learned in geography growing based on how crappy I did at this game. I did better on the United States-only version of it, but the world version kicked my butt. Paul managed to get Bend, Oregon (which showed up when he played it) within one pixel. If his hometown were to show up, I seriously doubt I’d be able to get very close to finding it.

Need An Alibi?

As long as it’s not for an illegal activity or to cover up for your criminal acts, these folks will help you out.

Cameras Made Out Of Legos

Hardware Porn

OK, as a geek, what do you notice first: The good looking women or the networking equipment (99.9% safe for work, don’t worry)?

Extend Your Lunch Hour

A great bookmark to bring with you on Monday. Just set your settings (when your lunch starts, how much time you want to waste, etc…), set this clock up in your browser, and go to lunch. When the boss asks you why you’re killing so much time, just tell him you’re going by your computer clock, which synchronizes with the Atomic clock in Colorado (at least by default in Windows XP).

There’s A Web Site For Everything

Like this enthralling page of poop facts.

How Fast Can You Type The Alphabet Backwards?

I could do it forward in seven seconds but it took me quite a bit longer (18 seconds) to do it backwards.

Somebody Has Too Much Time On Their Hands

This guy is a bit obsessed with the long-since cancelled but insanely popular in syndication (for reasons I’ll never understand) TV show “Full House.” He’s gone around San Francisco and taken pictures of all the live San Francisco scenes that were used during the opening credits and during other times during the series, and posted them online.
