Your tax dollars at work, folks.

Windows Update For Non MSIE User

Those of you who have some common sense and are using Firefox instead of MSIE for your Web browser, bookmark this site and you’ll never have to go to WindowsUpdate.com again.

This is actually a good thing, as I was having trouble getting MS’s Windows Update to run on a server here at the office, but this ran without a hitch after I installed Firefox.

What You Need For College

For those of you going off to college for the first time this Fall, check over this list and make sure you’re prepared. There are some things on there I didn’t even think of, but wish I knew about when I went off to school.

Simpsons Shorts

Only true Simpsons fans know that before they hit the big time on Fox, The Simpson appeared as shorts on the Tracy Ullman show. Now, you can download all those shorts (with their old-school animation) all in one place.

That’s A Lot Of Big Gulps

Apparently it would take 266 cans worth of Dr. Pepper for me to die by caffeine

Best Movie Review Ever

Roger Ebert tears “Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo” to shreds. Zero stars and “Mr. Schneider, your movie sucks.” is always a part of any great review.

If I Were CNN or ABC, I’d Fire My IT Guy

This is totally asinine that a major organization like CNN or ABC can’t figure out how to block a flippin’ port on their firewalls so they end up getting servers shut down by this stupid worm. If I were management there, I’d have a reward out for the head of the idiot that left those ports open.

And for you Mac zealots out there, don’t tell these people to get a Mac — they just need better geeks.

NEED: Music Notation Help For A Memorial

This project has been sitting in my “to-do” list for quite a while, but after cleaning up my desk here a bit, I decided I better do this before our next concert season comes up. This involves music notation questions and solutions for a score I’d like to produce for in memory of a percussionist who passed away a few years ago, so I’m putting this in the extended entry for this. Feel free to skip if this is totally out of your league or over your head, or click below if you’re interested.
