It looks like the old classic video game, but it’s actually a machine doing all the work.

NEED: 16-port Cable TV Splitter
Since nobody else bothered to plan this far ahead, I’ve been put in charge of the cable TV distribution for the new Sunriver fitness center (which was supposed to be open this month, but still has a couple weeks to go). They have 15 TV jacks in the place, and I’ll be using cable for the Internet service for the building. Does anybody know of a good way (and if parts were available locally, that’d be peachy) to get the signal to these TVs without spending a crapload of money? I looked at some of the Leviton stuff, and found this 16-port setup that I’ll have to get an enclosure for, but just wanted to see if anybody else had any other ideas (or places online to buy this stuff that can ship overnight or two day shipping).
Another Great Google Map Hack
I know I’ve listed several Google Map Hacks before, but this one is pretty cool: linking US Census data with Google Maps.
Futurama Title Card Collection
I love this show because it, just like The Simpsons, always has something different during the opening title sequence. On The Simpsons it’s the couch gag, Bart’s chalkboard sequences, and Lisa’s sax solo, and on Futurama it’s the opening title (among some billboard changes as they’re flying through the city). Here’s a Flickr gallery of all the opening titles on the show.
Speaking of Futurama, there are rumors that there will be new episodes created exclusively for DVD
Fun Flash Game
Haven’t had enough time to play it and figure out what all the various squares mean and do, but this should keep you busy for a while.
Google Adds Playback To Video Search
You could search videos before, but now you can actually play them. Anybody seen anything interesting here? Link via SEW.
NEED: A Car Stereo Parts Whiz
OK, here’s the deal. I got a good deal on a stereo for our minivan. The problem is that the stereo is missing the small little brackets that mount the stereo to our 1996 Caravan. On Pioneer’s site, I found the complete mounting kit for the car, but I don’t need the entire mounting kit, so I really don’t want to spend $30 (including shipping) for the parts direct from Pioneer.
Does anybody out there work for a stereo place and have a couple of these clips sitting around that they want to get rid of cheap? Or can you get the full mounting kit cheaper than direct from Pioneer? E-mail me using the form to the right or jake [at] this site’s domain if you can help me.
Simpsons Episodes For The Blind
It would suck being blind. It’s so much easier to enjoy The Simpsons if you can see and hear it instead of just hearing it described to you.
The History of the GUI
A great history lesson for all the geeks out there (yes, another old link — I’m still cleaning out my flagged links).
