Global Warming My Ass

Whoever said that this world is warming up obviously hasn't been driving to work the last week in snowy weather and having to scrape ice off his or her windshield in the morning, which I have done the last several mornings.

They obviously never looked outside their window in late April and seen in snow during the day.

This is Spring, right? Wasn't the first day of Spring last month? I'm not supposed to be chopping wood still (I apologize to all my neighbors who are probably sick of me chopping wood after doing it all winter). I'm not supposed to be having to order more wood (like I had to a few weeks ago).

And there's a 70% chance of more of the same tomorrow.

Anybody else sick of this?

This is me not lecturing. I swear. But jeezzzzz --- yes Jake, this is global warming. If you melt the polar caps, where is the moisture gonna go???

And yup, I'm just as pissy about the weather. Dammit. It's nearly May, I want to move plants outside, not remodel my office into a green house.

Excuse me -- I going out to shovel the walk.

Winter needs to go away right now.

When life gives you snow, make snow cones. ;)

I think there's a warm sandy beach somewhere I NEED to be on and soon. Blah!

I'm with Cuppa. Yep, global warming and yep--the nightly exodus of bringing in the seedling trays in from the greenhouse (because no way am I paying to heat it if its 19 degrees) and into my kitchen--only to reverse this scenario every morning has become quite old.

If this weather can convince a few more Cali's to move out of town, it can keep this up til hell freezes over, as far as I'm concerned!

...this coming from someone who has to work outside in this crazy stuff.

It used to snow in April up to my birthday up till about five years ago. Now it's 90 degree weather in the beginning of spring in Central New York.

Global warming is on its' way.

if this is global warming i want my emissions back.

I think I just thought of a great title. "Global Warming: not worth the price of emission."

That is quite genius sir! I like it!

Would the last person who believes in global warming please turn off the compact flourescent lights on their way out?

Jake, how long have you lived in Bend? This spring has been colder than usual, true, but cold springs are the norm rather than the exception here.

And of course one cold spring doesn't prove that global warming is a fantasy any more than one hot summer proves that it's a fact. The long-term trends are what you have to look at.

Jake said on 04/25/08 @ 10:12 PM:
Don't read into the headline too much there, dartagnan -- I'm not here to debate global warming, it was more an attempt to be funny. But FYI: I've lived in Bend my entire life.
