When Good Programs Go Bad
PC World has a great article about 13 applications it thinks should've just been left alone. Thanks to sites like Old Version and Old Apps, we can still get copies of those older, much more functional, muss less annoying applications.

Another annoying aspect of the "upgrade" mania is constantly being told that you need to download the latest version of QuickTime, or whatever, to play an audio or visual file.
andy29 said on 10/09/07 @ 01:41 PM: The article has been pushed into a tiny little column and is lightly spread over six pages. The website isn't as bad as it could be but there's still too much crap around it. Talk about irony.
I still use PSP 7 and love it. I haven't used Winamp for years (about the time of v2.95 probably). I am so glad that foobar2000 exists.
Shane said on 10/09/07 @ 04:31 PM: I hate the newer versions of Adobe Reader with a vengeance. It's a file viewer for heavens sake, why 22+mb?
I gave up on Real Player and Quick Time a long time ago and now use the "Alternative" versions.

What are you doing down here? Don't you have something better to do? Like Go Back To The Top of the page, or even see who created this site? This site is © 2001 - 2012 by the Utterly Boring folks at UtterlyBoring.com. Steal my content, as I probably did, too, just link to my site or the original site. Batteries not included.
