UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 33-year-old dad, percussionist, sysadmin, Web developer, IT consultant and jack-of-all-trades geek, living in Bend, Oregon. A 7000% return on investment?!?That's what this guy is trying to pull off. He plans on starting with $14 and in one year turn it into $1000 (deadline April 15, 2005). He decided to take it up as a personal challenge after a MeFi discussion pretty much said it's impossible. He one day took his daughter down into Portland, dug around for pop cans until they had $15. Within2 months (not counting trading fees, because he is a licensed broker) he turned the $15 into $500. He does have an entire room dedicated to stocks and such, and a live feed coming into his 4 computer monitors though. Sharp guy. So, in short, If you know what youre doing, its possible.
