A 7000% return on investment?!?
That's what this guy is trying to pull off. He plans on starting with $14 and in one year turn it into $1000 (deadline April 15, 2005). He decided to take it up as a personal challenge after a MeFi discussion pretty much said it's impossible. I know I'll be following his progress.

Dru said on 04/29/04 @ 04:44 PM: Easy way to turn $14 to $1000:
Lure a $10 hooker to your motel room, steal her crack money. Next, lure a $50 hooker to your room, steal her crack money. And so on. You will have long surpassed your target before you get to the higher-priced call-girls!
Rick said on 04/30/04 @ 09:36 AM: There is a guy that goes to my church (he is about 40 and retired now) that is into stocks and investing and such. He one day took his daughter down into Portland, dug around for pop cans until they had $15. Within2 months (not counting trading fees, because he is a licensed broker) he turned the $15 into $500. He does have an entire room dedicated to stocks and such, and a live feed coming into his 4 computer monitors though. Sharp guy.
So, in short, If you know what youre doing, its possible.
