UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 30-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. In addition to editing this site in his free time, he is the IT Director and Ad Designer at both Sunray and Discover Sunriver. Tim Robbins is my heroI always though he was good in the movies he's been in (especially The Shawshank Redemption, probably my favorite movie ever), but I have found a new-found respect for the man. He gave a wonderful speech to the National Press Club where he spoke about his views on the war, the current administration, and how journalists could be the key to changing this whole mess around. Just because he can act doesn't mean he's a great world leader!!! And as a mother who sent her daughter to war, to say I was offended by his little play is an UNDERSTATEMENT!!!! He "cares" about the soldiers, ya' right. That's why he tries to block recruitment, undermines what they are doing, and defames anyone who doesn't agree. All with the idea that it is the small minded little people who just aren't as enlightened as he and his friends. Well, thank God that they weren't around in WWII, my German is really bad!!!!
