I've Always Hated The Just-After-Race TV Interview
I've a track-and-field fan, always have been, but I never quite understood the rationale for interviewing people immediately after they've won a race. I understand why it's done -- to get that immediate emotional response -- but 99% of the time they're utterly exhausted so they can't talk. Sometimes their brains are fried from what they've just accomplished, like is the case here, where this woman's still in shock as to what just happened:
