Rob said on 09/25/08 @ 10:47 PM: P.S. One of the funniest stupid ringtone experiences I've had came a few years ago when a little old lady was shopping late one night at Safeway. I'm guessing one of her kids, or maybe grandkids, gave her a cellphone and set the ring to the theme of the Pink Panther. She kept looking around but it never occurred to her that the sound was coming from her purse.
The Dren said on 09/26/08 @ 10:56 AM: Come on, both my phones play very loud music when they ring. My work phone plays a custom Beastie Boys "Brass Monkey" clip that I made myself. I've got to have very loud ringers that get my attention, the noise floor in our server room is aboout 90dB, and I would never hear it ring otherwise in there. Not to mention that in an office with close to 100 people, I need a ringtone that I can recognize as my work or personal cell phone ringing from 3 cubes away if I am up and helping someone from the Help Desk. Plus my kids think it is cool. Can't go wrong with that!

I don't find this amusing at all since I'm the parent...my child chose "phantom of the opera" to play when I call her...all others at least get some nice song playing.
