UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 30-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. In addition to editing this site in his free time, he is the IT Director and Ad Designer at both Sunray and Discover Sunriver. He has LinkedIn, MySpace, Facebook profiles if you're trying to stalk him.
Opinions and comments on this site are the opinions of the author, not the author's employer, family, friends or pets.

Update on 9/4/08 @ 4PM: Comments are borked. They're going through, so please don't comment twice, but they're just spitting out ugly errors and not rebuilding the pages to show your comment. I'll look into it after I get some sleep. I think I got this fixed. Let me know using the contact form on the right column if things are still wonky.

UtterlyBoring.com and BendBlogs.com Site Downtime Tonight
Just an FYI: Just forewarning everybody, tonight at 11PM I have to take the server that hosts this server and Bend Blogs down while I do a deep hard drive scan on the backup hard drive in the server as it's spitting out errors. Hopefully (unless there are major issues), the server should be back up by 4AM, Sunday morning.
BTW: It was nice seeing some of you at the BendWebCon. If you're just a lurker but saw me there (I won a door prize, which was pretty sweet), feel free to say "Hi".

Barney Lerten said on 02/02/08 @ 01:43 PM: Wish I could have stayed for the whole thing. I had to give the door prize up cuz it was from US;-) (That's OK, I got fodder for Monday's piece - and of course, remember who spoke at last year's conference? A guy from Yahoo, soon to be MicroWho?;-) Facebook's ad potential is quite amazing. Wish it didn't look/feel like Ikea Online, mixed with some sorta cutesy "my friends WUV me!" aroma;-)

What are you doing down here? Don't you have something better to do? Like Go Back To The Top of the page, or even see who created this site? This site is © 2001 - 2008 by the Utterly Boring folks at UtterlyBoring.com. Steal my content, as I probably did, too, just link to my site or the original site. Batteries not included. One size fits all. Not for off-road use. Not for internal use. Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball. Technorati Profile.
