I did see the man burn on that fateful Monday night (as I was watching the lunar eclipse), and aside from the big "f--k you" to all Black Rock citizens, the biggest impact was that hardly anyone of the 50,000 attendants got to see the green energy exhibit in the pavillion below the man as it had to close during the rebuild of the man.
Many people had poured months of hard work, brain power and tons of money into those exhibits - and it was all for nothing. I will be appealing to Burning Man LLC to recreate the exhibits online so people can still see and read about them.
More ranting. pics and other fun stuff from the Burn to follow soon on my site.
